About Kate

I’m a singer, songwriter, radio host and all-round creative who’s passionate about helping people find their voice and use it boldly. I’ve been working in radio for over 10 years now, and I absolutely love hanging out with our weekend audience on TheLight—there’s nothing better than sharing stories, laughs, and a bit of hope through the airwaves. I grew up in Sydney but now live in Melbourne with a couple of housemates, 6 worm farms and a one-eyed cat Link (he’s a vibe). I’ve travelled to over 30 countries, but New York has my heart. Using my voice is kind of my thing—whether I’m chatting with friends, talking about Jesus, telling ridiculous stories on-air, writing songs, singing, worship leading, presenting, or hosting events to support the Aussie Christian music industry… I’m all in. I probably hit my word limit most days (and then some) but I figure if you’ve got something good to share, don’t hold back! When I’m not behind a mic or a guitar, you’ll probably find me in the garden. I’ve got six worm farms (yes, six) and have fallen deep into the world of composting and home veggie gardening. It’s my quiet, messy little way of loving the planet. I believe in creativity, community and God’s kindness—and I hope everything I do reflects that.
