God has chosen you and made you his holy people. He loves you. So your new life should be like this: Show mercy to others. Be kind, humble, gentle, and patient.

This week on Lucy & Kel, an emotional on-air conversation explored the words parents would most want their children to carry for life. Inspired by the late Eric Dane’s final recorded message to his daughters, the team and listeners shared heartfelt reflections on love, purpose, courage and living fully in the present. It was a powerful reminder that above all, our children need to know they are loved, they are enough, and they are brave.

But Ruth said, “Don’t force me to leave you! Don’t force me to go back to my own people. Let me go with you. Wherever you go, I will go. Wherever you sleep, I will sleep. Your people will be my people. Your God will be my God. Where you die, I will die, and that is where I will be buried. I ask the LORD to punish me if I don’t keep this promise: Only death will separate us.”

Lucy tests Kel’s maths knowledge using their daughter Shiloh’s year 6 maths homework but it doesn’t go as planned. Who knew how confusing and complicated primary school maths could be? Certainly not Lucy and Kel!

In the same way, you should be a light for other people. Live so that they will see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.
