Anna Joyce from Stairway Church shared A Return to Love, exploring what it means to be the Bride of Christ who hungers for God, releases beauty, and waits with expectation.

“Please open your eyes and ears and listen to the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night … I am confessing that I have sinned against you and that the other people in my father’s family have sinned against you. We Israelites have been very bad to you. We have not obeyed the commands, rules, and laws you gave your servant Moses. … We built the wall of Jerusalem all the way around the city. But it was only half as tall as it should be. We did this much because the people worked with all their heart.

The Pharisees saw that Jesus was eating with these people. They asked his followers, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and other sinners?” Jesus heard them say this. So he said to them, “It is the sick people who need a doctor, not those who are healthy. You need to go and learn what this Scripture means: ‘I don’t want animal sacrifices; I want you to show kindness to people.’ I did not come to invite good people. I came to invite sinners.”
