About this role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Digital Engagement team as a Multimedia Developer, where you will play a key role in planning, designing, building and maintaining our websites and digital platforms.

You will be responsible for creating high-quality digital assets to enhance engagement across PositiveMedia’s digital channels, working closely with the Digital Engagement team to deliver on-brand, effective digital content. This role supports our radio stations, podcasts, fundraising initiatives, business development activities and listener engagement strategies.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Scope, design, develop and continually improve websites supporting our radio stations, podcasts, shows and business development needs
  • Manage all PositiveMedia websites, ensuring 99%+ uptime
  • Optimise websites to maximise user traffic, performance and content engagement
  • Manage SEO and SEM in conjunction with the Digital Marketing Coordinator
  • Manage development, staging and production hosting environments
  • Manage DNS, SSL, caching, CDN and enforce HTTPS security
  • Engage third-party developers as required for custom donation applications
  • Support and integrate music player apps with our web platforms
  • Organise, update and manage digital assets within a digital asset management system
  • Collaborate with Social Media and Digital Marketing teams to create and promote web-based campaigns
  • Work with the Donor team to optimise websites for fundraising appeals
  • Partner with Listener Engagement teams to integrate broadcast technologies into web platforms
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends in web development, multimedia production and AI tools
  • Ensure all multimedia output consistently adheres to brand guidelines
About You
We are seeking a skilled, creative and collaborative Multimedia Developer with a passion for digital innovation and mission-driven work. To thrive in this role, you will have:
  • Experience in web and app development (WordPress, BricksBuilder or similar)
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and HTML/CSS
  • Experience with hosting environments such as cPanel or similar
  • Knowledge of DNS, SSL, CDN and caching (e.g. Cloudflare)
  • Experience with mobile app development such as React Native or Swift (highly regarded)
  • Multimedia production skills (audio/video) and/or graphic design skills (highly regarded)
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders
  • Adaptability, creativity and a proactive mindset
  • A ‘brand champion’ approach to building awareness and engagement
  • A genuine passion for our Vision to see “Every life alight with the love of Jesus”

 

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Web Development or an equivalent mix of experience and expertise preferred.
