Lucy & Kel had some very special guests in the studio today, members of the Watoto Children’s Choir! From the heart of Uganda to stages across Australia, these young voices are set to inspire with songs that carry stories of hope, resilience, and transformation. For the children, music is more than performance, it’s a declaration that joy can rise from even the hardest places.
Over the past 30 years, more than 120 Watoto choirs have toured the world, sharing their songs with presidents, royalty, and millions of people. Now, for the very first time, young voices like Jet, just 11 years old, and Alowishus will share their stories here in Australia.
Behind every song is the heartbeat of Watoto, a holistic care program in Uganda that rescues orphaned and vulnerable children, giving them family, education, and the chance to dream again. The choir’s music is both a celebration of what has been restored and a powerful reminder that every child’s life has purpose.
This isn’t just a concert. It’s an invitation to witness the beauty of resilience and the power of hope.
If you missed the chat with Jet and Alowishus you can catch it on the Lucy & Kel Podcast!
