It’s that time of year again when Secret Santas are drawn, playlists are made, and someone’s already planning the office Christmas party.

There’s always that one unsung hero quietly organising it all, booking the venue, chasing RSVPs, and making sure there’s enough glitter and fairy lights to last the night. Some workplaces go all out with yachts, cash bonuses, and even iPhones as door prizes. Others keep it simple with sausage rolls, lukewarm punch, and a Bluetooth speaker that keeps disconnecting.

And then there are the ones that make you pay $50 to attend your own party. Looking at you, big banks 👀
Rob has one simple rule the party should be on company time. Not a weekend, not a late Tuesday night, and definitely not disguised as a 4pm start that somehow ends at midnight.

Ash isn’t totally convinced because she loves hanging out with the team after hours, but Rob’s firm your own time is sacred.

What do you think? Should the work Christmas party happen during work hours or after hours with a little festive chaos?
