For many children in Uganda, hunger is a daily reality. Some have fled war. Some have lost parents. All of them are trying to survive, often without food, safety, or stability.

Take Away Hunger Day is your chance to change that.

Through Feed the Hungry, Australians have already provided over 169,000 children with a month of nutritious meals, meals served in schools to encourage learning, healing, and hope. Because when a child is fed, they can concentrate. They can dream. They can begin to build a future.

This year, the goal is even bigger: feed 200,000 children.

One young girl shared how she fled Sudan with her grandmother, not knowing her mother had died until after they reached safety. Now, thanks to the meals she receives at school, she’s back in a classroom, not just surviving, but slowly starting to heal. Every meal is a small act of restoration.

But it’s about more than food. It’s about reminding children that they matter. That even in the darkest places, love can show up. And that peace is possible, even when life feels broken.

You can be the difference.
Take hunger off their plate, and give them back their future.
