So much these days is available instantly. Ask your favourite AI tool the most incredibly complex question, and the answer pops up in seconds. So the idea of slogging away at something for days, months, even years, is increasingly foreign to our mindset.

A farmer doesn’t see results overnight. It starts with small, faithful habits—ploughing the soil, sowing seeds, checking moisture, rotating crops, pulling weeds, watching the weather. None of that’s glamorous. Each step seems small. But miss just one—like neglecting to guard against pests—and the whole crop will fail.

Yet when these small steady habits are repeated with care, something astonishing happens: from one tiny seed, the earth yields 30, 60, even 100-fold. Over months, the invisible becomes visible. The farmer reaps a golden sea of grain, all because they stayed consistent in the little things.

Galatians 6:7-9 If you think you can fool God, you are only fooling yourselves. You will harvest what you plant. If you live to satisfy your sinful self, the harvest you will get from that will be eternal death. But if you live to please the Spirit, your harvest from the Spirit will be eternal life. We must not get tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest of eternal life at the right time. We must not give up.

It’s easy to become impatient, to want instant results in dealing with our own foibles and failures. Think about that in the middle of the sin you’re struggling with.

What small habits do you need to repeat to turn your life around?

Transformation is rarely instant—it’s a journey of steady growth. The Holy Spirit works through our faithful, repeated obedience. In His power, those small habits deliver huge results.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
