Resting. Sounds simple, right?

Apparently… not so much.

Lucy and Kel found themselves deep in the question of why switching off feels so hard. Some people seem to glide into rest like it’s second nature. Others? Not even close.

Kel insists he’s in a “restful state.” Lucy isn’t buying it.

Then came a message that shifted things.

Caller Karine summed it up in a way that felt a little too familiar: constantly tired, just “hanging in,” not entirely sure what for. Holding on, getting through the day, hoping for something more on the other side of it.

And just like that, the conversation wasn’t light anymore.

Lucy shared how seasons of life can bring that same feeling, exhaustion that’s more than just needing sleep. The kind that leaves you questioning where you’re headed and how you even got here. It’s not always loud or dramatic, sometimes it’s just a quiet, constant weight.

Kel suggested maybe rest isn’t something that just happens. Maybe it’s something you have to learn again. A discipline, not a default.
