Next time you’re out for coffee or dinner, take a quick look around. How many couples are sitting together, but one or both are scrolling on their phones? It’s become so normal that we barely notice, but it’s kind of sad, isn’t it?
You’re there together, but only half present. Half in the moment, half in your screen. ☕❤️

Research shows couples who experience tech interference, like checking your phone while spending time together, actually report feeling less connected even though they’re physically together. There’s even a name for it phubbing, which is phone snubbing your partner.

It’s linked to lower intimacy and relationship satisfaction, yet most of us do it without realising. It’s not that we care more about our phones, it’s just become a habit. Maybe even a little addiction.

So this isn’t about guilt or blame. It’s just a gentle reminder to look up a little more, be present, and give the people we love our full attention. 💕

Tune in to Rob & Ash for the Drive Home on weekdays 3pm-6pm.
