On the final Lucy and Kel for Breakfast show of the year, it was time to crown the Listener of the Year – but this time, there was a twist.
The first winner announced was the much loved Trucker Steve. A long time caller, storyteller, and crowd favourite, he has been part of the Light Family for years. It seemed like an easy, heartfelt choice.
But then Lucy revealed something that has never happened before.
Listener of the Year 2025 is a joint award.
Joining Trucker Steve is none other than Jodie from South Morang – volunteer, constant encourager, hilarious texter, and someone who has bravely shared her story of hope with TheLight family.
Jodie was completely blindsided, thinking she was just helping honour Steve. Instead, she found out she was standing right beside him as co-winner.
Both Trucker Steve and Jodie will receive a Darrell Lea gift pack and the official Listener of the Year certificate.
A perfect, joy filled end to an incredible year with Lucy & Kel for Breakfast.
