🎤 Meet Our Co-Host: Justin Michael
Joining our host Kate Westwood this week is Justin Michael.
Justin Michael is an Australian Christian singer-songwriter, known initially for his emotional lead vocals and lyrical presence as frontman of Compliments of Gus. The band disbanded in 2015, after which Justin launched a solo career that blends intimate songwriting, sincere worship, and acoustic pop sensibility. His solo music explores themes of faith, hope, and everyday life with freshness and poetic depth. In 2025, his song Did Ya Don’t Worry was shortlisted as a nominee for People’s Choice Song of the Year by Christian Media & Arts Australia.
Alongside stage performances and recording, Justin continues to serve in Geelong,Vcitoria as a pastor and creative mentor, carrying forward the same heart for authentic, high‑quality music that defined his band years, now lived out in his solo expression.
He also hosts the Father Figures podcast with Health McSolvin. They aim to make fathering and faith real, relatable, and relational, offering listeners practical advice, wisdom and encouragement. LISTEN HERE

🌟 One to Watch: Paula Mar
Paula Mar is a Mexican singer-songwriter who has spent much of her life in Australia, (living in Frankston right now) and her music reflects a blend of both worlds. Drawing from her latin roots and the laid-back vibes of Australian folk, her sound is a mix of subtle groove and stripped back emotions. Writing in both Spanish and English, her lyrics of then come straight from her journal – raw reflections on real experiences and inner moments. She has released one track in June 25 called ‘stinkin bug’ and is teasing her new song ‘fragile convictions’ on her socials.
