We’re six days into our November fundraising campaign, and with the finish line coming up this Friday at 6pm, TheLight is currently 35% funded for this financial year 2025-26. That leaves around $700,000 still needed to keep hope, joy, encouragement, and Jesus-filled moments going out across Melbourne.

That can feel big — but today, we’re choosing to focus on God’s provision and on someone who lived that out beautifully.

Remembering Barrie

Barrie was part of TheLight family for many years. He lived simply and gave generously, believing in “living simply so that others may simply live.” Before he passed away last month, he made one final gift to TheLight: $99,000.

What a man. What a heart. What a legacy. 💖

In his honour, every donation given today will be matched from Barrie’s gift — whether it’s $50, $100, or $1,000.

Your impact reaches even further

Because we’re partnering with the Salvos this Christmas, every $100 one-off gift, or $10/month regular donation, will also fund meals and support for someone doing it tough.
